In a bid to strengthen e-governance and encourage young people to embrace Science and Technology, the Lagos State Government of Nigeria has revealed plans to make Wi-Fi connection available to residents.
This was made known to the public by the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos state Ministry of Information Communication Technology, ICT, Mrs Nike Animashaun.
Mrs. Animashaun revealed that the first phase of the Wi-Fi connectivity would be installed in parks within the state, and the first parks to benefit from the WiFi installment are Oshodi, Alausa and Ajegunle parks.
According to her, “The Wi-Fi services will be in some of the parks in the state and when it is deployed, residents of Lagos State would be able to access Wi-Fi services”.
